biography
Risson Charlemont, a Haitian American born and raised in Miami, Florida, is a dedicated entrepreneur and community advocate. Growing up surrounded by Haitian culture, he graduated from Miami Central Senior High School in 2004. Risson pursued his passion for technology by earning multiple computer certifications from Per Scholars and later worked as a Computer Tech contractor for Dell.
He furthered his education with a degree in Business, concentrating on Management Information Systems, from Florida Atlantic University, completing it in 2011.
Driven by a desire to give back, Risson organized events and programs for at-risk youth and started a bus service to transport children to HANDY, an afterschool program focused on life skills and mentorship. He eventually left his tech career to partner with his brother, Richard Charlemon, in opening group homes for boys aged 3-17 with autism, continuing their father’s legacy. The brothers have been serving the autism community for five years and are dedicated to expanding their services across Florida.
In addition to their group homes, Risson organizes community initiatives like turkey drives and Christmas toy drives. His ultimate goal is to expand their group homes and create more jobs for locals in partnership with the City of North Miami, embodying his passion for making a positive impact in his community.
